Türkçede tam karşılığı olmayan bir zaman biçimidir. Kısaca “Yakın Geçmiş Zamanda Süreklilik” olarak ifade edebiliriz. Bu zamanı daha iyi anlayabilmek için öncesinde “Present Perfect Tense” sayfamızı ziyaret etmenizi önemle tavsiye ederiz.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense Konu Anlatımı

1) Geçmişte yapılmaya başlanan bir işin hala yapılıyor olduğunu ifade etmek için kullanılır.

I have been learning English for 6 months.[/sayit]
6 Aydır İngilizce öğreniyorum (6 Ay önce öğrenmeye başladım ve hala öğreniyorum).

2) Son zamanlarda” anlamına gelen “lately” veya “recently” zaman zarflarıyla birlikte kullanılır.

Recently they have been working very hard.[/sayit]
Son zamanlarda çok sıkı çalışıyorlar.

Has she been spending much money lately?[/sayit]
O, son zamanlarda çok mu para harcıyor?

3) “Non progressive verbs” sayfamızda belirttiğimiz fiillerle birlikte kullanılmaz.

I have known him for 5 years.[/sayit]
Onu 5 yıldır tanıyorum.
Dikkat: “I have been knowing him for 5 years” olmaz çünkü “know” fiili -ing takısı almaz.
